		<description><![CDATA[This is an update to this post from a few years back. This time I&#8217;m installing Postgres 9.2.3, PostGIS 2.0.1, and pgAdmin 1.17.0 on Ubuntu 12.04. As usual, my default Pg install (&#8211;with-openssl &#8211;with-perl &#8211;with-libxml &#8211;prefix=/usr/local/[current_version]) required some extra packages (for headers): libreadline6-dev zlib1g-dev libssl-dev libxml2-dev libperl-dev All of these are easily installed via apt-get.
